Virginia Academy of General Dentistry
Recognizes Award Recipients at Inaugural Awards Dinner

ASHBURN (August 27, 2019) — The Virginia Academy of General Dentistry (VAGD) is pleased to announce the recipients of the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Fellowship Award, Mastership Award or Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition Award. The awards were presented during the AGD’s convocation ceremony, a commencement celebration that acknowledges the commitment to excellence in dental education during the AGD’s scientific session held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Connecticut at Mohegan Sun.

To celebrate the accomplishments of the 19 Virginia dentists who have received these prestigious awards, the VAGD, in partnership with the Popovich Financial Group at Baird, is delighted to host an Inaugural Awards Dinner on November 14, 2019 at Clyde’s of Willow Creek in Ashburn, Virginia. Award recipients will be honored by an esteemed keynote speaker, Sunil Budhrani, MD, MPH, MBA, the CEO and CMO of Innovation Health, and celebrated in the presence of current VAGD Fellows, Masters and AGD leaders.

The Popovich Financial Group recognizes the impact these awardees have on the community. So much so, that the Popovich Financial Group has provided generous support to make the Inaugural Awards Dinner a possibility. “The VAGD was created to serve the interests and needs of Virginia General Dentists so that the dentists can have a greater impact on Virginia residents. We’re thrilled to recognize the achievement of the awardees thanks to our partnership with the Popovich Financial Group.” says VAGD President, Jenni Bobbio, DDS, FAGD.

In order to receive the Fellowship Award, each dentist must complete a minimum of 500 hours of continuing education and pass a comprehensive written exam. The following doctors have joined an elite group of more than 17,080 members of the dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.
